RagnaDexRagnarok Zero Global Account

Compare hunting grounds

96 areas holding 395 of the 489 Zero monsters. Set the level range you want to hunt — the table then counts only the monsters inside it for each area.

With no level given every monster in the area counts. The averages are weighted by spawn count — a monster standing there 700 times weighs more than one standing there three times.

The two defaults on the right are display rules, not statements about the data: an area with a single spawn has an average that describes only that one monster — and an MVP boss lifts it many times over. Turn both off if that is exactly what you are after.

Area Spawns Level Exp/HP Zeny/kill Most common there

This ranking rests on unverified numbers The experience values come from rAthena and are known to differ in Ragnarok Zero — of ten monsters checked, one matched on base experience and none on job experience. “Experience per health point” inherits that deviation in full. Zeny per kill is an expected value from drop rate times sale price and is unverified for Zero. The ordering of areas is therefore a pointer, not a result.

How this is calculated

For each area the monsters inside the chosen level range are taken and averaged, weighted by their spawn count:

Exp/HP = Σ(spawns × exp/HP) ÷ Σ(spawns) Zeny/kill = Σ(spawns × zeny/kill) ÷ Σ(spawns)

Weighting by spawn count is an assumption: it presumes you meet an area’s monsters roughly in proportion to how many stand there. Respawn times, travel distance and your own damage do not enter, because I have no numbers for them, and estimated ones would feed straight into the result.
